SOMMER FAMILY BLESSING

Welcome to the blog for Linda Sommer.

My Blog will cover three subjects:

WORD FROM THE LORD, FAMILY, and MINISTRY.

WORD FROM THE LORD
Every day I spend time with the Lord in the morning and He speaks to my heart words that are encouraging, exhorting and sometimes rebuking.

At first, I felt not to share these words with others, but then I realized I am just one of His followers. There are many people who need a word daily from the Lord, but they do not have the time to seek Him. This is why I decided to share the words I received from time to time. The messages are in first person as the the Lord relayed them to my spirtual ears.

FAMILY
We have three sons and nine grandchildren. There is something new happening all the time in the Sommer family. I will post some of these events of interest.

MINISTRY
Tom and I have traveled the world. To find out more about our ministry you may consult our webpage -

I will keep you updated on future speaking enagements and ministry developments.

COMFORT

When you hear the word, "comfort," you feel a peace in your heart.  You think of the times when you were comforted by others during various trials.  The word, "comfort," can cause wonderful, warm, cozy feelings to embrace you during times of great spiritual battles.

Right now there is a great spiritual battle raging over My land, Israel.  There have been many times in history when My people needed comfort through horrific physical and spiritual battles.  The prophet, Isaiah, gave a mighty declaration to speak over My people and My land.

I want you to speak these words over My people and Israel today: "Speak comfort to Jerusalem, and cry out to her, that her warfare is ended, that her iniquity is pardoned, for she has received from the Lord's hand double for all her sins."  There is no time like the present for you to cry out these words as you intercede for Israel.

ISAIAH 40:1-2

  1. Lord - Thank you for the comfort you bestow upon me. Thank you for comforting me in past times of struggle. We pray that you comfort Israel as your chosen people. Amen.

  2. Lord - As I look at Isaiah 40:1-2, it is clear that the Lord stands ready to forgive our sins. He exhorts his people to "speak comfort to Jerusalem"
