ALL THINGS NEW

This is a glorious time of the year. Did you know that the first month on the Hebrew calendar is the month of Nisan? Yes, I know that most Jewish people celebrate the new year during their High Holy Days that occur in September and October. However, according to the Scriptures, God designated the month of Nisan to be the beginning of the year. Passover is celebrated during the month of Nisan, and the celebration of the resurrection of Yeshua occurs in this month. I did not realize when I started blogging the daily words the Lord gave me that I began during the month of Nisan. That was very appropriate. My first blog was on April 12, and by the grace of God I have been able to enter a word every day for a year. Beginning with this week, I will only enter one blog weekly. It looks like our lives will be filled with travel in this next year, so keeping up with a daily blog will be too difficult. I trust you have enjoyed the entries, and I would love for you to look at the acrchives and go back to the entries I posted from April 12, 2010 to April 12, 2011. May you be blessed in this new year and it has been a joy to share these daily words with you.

TENDERNESS

As you observe the winter trees that I am dressing with varried colored blossoms and leaves, understand that those tender leaves were being formed during the harsh winter. The snows and rains nourished the tender roots of those trees all during the winter. Once the sunlight gave the warmth needed to cause leaves and blossoms to appear, the fruit of the summer would soon be birthed. So are the seasons of your life. I know how difficult it is for you to go through the harsh winters of trials, but understand that I am tenderly forming fruit in your life. The winds of adversity will blow into your life, but do not be shaken by those trials. Meditate on Me and know that My tender love is extended to you during those trials and that My Word is given to you to saturate your soul so that soon great fruitfulness will be birthed in your life. I am the Master Gardner Who tenderly watches over you and sees to it that you bear much fruit. Keep abiding in Me, My Word, and My love. JOHN 15

CHERISH

There are things in this life that you cherish, but I know what you cherish the most are those you love. You cherish your husband, children, and grandchildren and you love being with them. Do you know that I cherish you? Not only do I cherish you, but I cherish all the beautiful treasures on Earth. Those treasures are people. I hold dear and see people as worth great value. Never forget that My Father offered Me as the perfect sacrifice because He so loved the world. Every person is of infinite worth to Me. My Father and I highly cherish them. As you encounter people today, remember that they are My treasures and I considered that they were worth My laying My life down for them. JOHN 3:16-17

TRIED AND TRUE

You often describe a good friend as a "Tried and True Friend." A "Tried and True Friend" is a person who prays for you and comforts you when you go through trials. Such a friend never condemns you. That friend encourages you and lifts you up so that you do not sink under the pressures of a trial. Such friends also do not hesitate to tell you the truth whenever they see that you are doing something that is not pleasing to My Father. I am a "Tried and True Friend," Who prays for you continually and Who is ready to comfort and encourage you when you go through trials. I also will give you gentle, truthful rebukes when I see that you are about to veer off the path that I have planned for you. Our friendship together is eternal and I look forward to the day when you can see Me face to face. Until that day, continue to talk to Me and listen to those things I want to share with you every day. JOHN 15:11-17

LIFE

It is My joy to give you eternal life. When you received Me as your Lord and Savior, I indwelled you and the very same Spirit that raised Me from the dead filled your mortal body. Your body, soul, and spirit received resurrection power. That power within you is to be transmitted to others. I have called you to life others with My life that dwells within you. Just as you received Me by faith, now you are to walk even as I walked when I was on Earth in a physical body. I gave life to the dead. You are to give life to those who are dead in their sins. So many in this world need to be resurrected to the newness of life that only I can give them. Pray daily for those who do not know Me yet. Open your heart to reach out to those who need to be translated from the kingdom of darkness into My marvelous kingdom of light. You may encounter someone who needs My resurrection power today. Be alert to those opportunities I give you daily. ROMANS 8:11

MUSIC

The music in heaven is beyond description. There are many symphonies in heaven that are playing continually. Angel choirs are singing and bells are ringing heralding when another soul receives Me as Lord and Savior. Listen throughout the day and you may hear the sound of majestic music delivered by angels to you today. Join with the heavenly chorus today. Sing praises and make melody in your heart all the day long. Sing hymns and sing in the spirit. Allow My Spirit to give you new songs. This is how you will be able to have a steady, unending walk with Me throughout the day. Whenever you praise Me, angels surround you and My presence is in the midst of your praise. EPHESIANS 5:18-20; PSALM 100

IMPOSSIBLE

With Me all things are possible. Thee is nothing too hard for Me. There is no obstacle that will stop Me from accomplishing My works through you if you will be steadfast in faith. You may say, "I have a hard time having faith during hard times." I say to you that all My saints including My beloved Peter had a hard time keeping His faith when the storms of life rolled over him like an angry sea. This is why I prayed that his faith would not fail him. Even though he did deny Me three times, his faith still remained. He was the first to identify Me when I stood on the seashore after My resurrection. I pray daily that your faith not fail and it will not as long as you keep your focus on Me. I know you cannot see Me, but faith is not seen. Know that I am with you always and whenever you feel weak in faith just ask Me to give you the gift of faith. LUKE 22:32; HEBREWS 11:1

CAUSE AND EFFECT

Everything in life has a cause and effect. Many people ask the question what causes the evil that they see every day in the world. The cause of evil is sin. You live in a fallen world where many have not believed on Me and received My forgiveness and cleansing for their sins. I have heard you tell this story before, but it is important today to share it with others. There was a barber and a preacher walking together on the streets of a large city. The barber said to the preacher, "I cannot believe in a God Who would allow such evil in the world!" They continued their walk and passed a man whose hair was matted and his beard was not trimmed. The preacher asked the barber, "Do you believe that you are a good barber?" The barber responded, "Yes, of course, I am the best barber in town." The preacher asked, "If you are the best barber in town, how can you allow that that man with his hair all a mess walk these streets?" The barber exclaimed, "The way this man looks is not my fault! He has never come into my barber shop or sat in my barber chair. If he had just come to me, I could give him an excellent shave and a haircut ." That story explains the cause and effect of sin. So many have not come into My throne room to receive the grace and the forgiveness of sin that they need to lead a life that glorifies Me. Tell this story to others and when you do, it will cause them to think and this story might have an eternal effect on their lives. JOHN 3:16-21

UNCEASING PRAYER

Living each day with an awareness of My presence is a way that you can pray without ceasing throughout the day. Your life in oneness with Me is a prayer. Throughout the day ask Me questions and wait for the answer. Speak to Me about every concern. Ask Me to give you understanding of My Word as you read through the Bible. Praise Me during the day. When someone's name comes to your mind, pray for that person. A simple prayer lifted before My throne is heard and has great effect upon those who I place in your thoughts. Receive My love and pass it on to others through your prayers and through every conversation. Pray while you are driving. Pray while you are walking. Pray while you are working. Know that I hear and that I am near. 1 THESSALONIANS 5:17

WHOLEHEARTED TRUST

Trust Me with all of your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Me and I will direct your path. Those words written by Solomon thousands of years ago will get you through every trial. When you trust Me wholeheartedly, you are saying to Me that you believe with your whole heart that I know what is best for you. You are believing that I have the big picture and see what is ahead of you, and therefore, I will do what is best for you according to My knowledge and wisdom which is infinite. It is true that people do what they want to do and sometimes their actions may delay or hinder My will, but ultimately I will accomplish My good plans in your life. Always remember the words that Paul wrote to the Thessalonians. He said that "He Who calls you is faithful, Who also will do it "1 Thessalonians 5:24). I am the One Who works within you both to will and to do of My good pleasure. Rest assured that as you offer yourself daily to Me as a living sacrifice, I will accomplish every good work in you that I had planned for you from the foundation of the earth. PROVERBS 3:5-6; PHILIPPIANS 2:13

FRIENDS

You have a saying that goes liked this, "Birds of a feather flock together." As you go through life, make sure that the friends who surround you are friends who will lift you up and not pull you down. When I chose My disciples, I was choosing friends who would walk with Me through every trial and every victory. They were by no means perfect. They forsook Me when I died on the cross. Only John stayed with Me. I knew, however, that they would return to Me because they loved Me. My perfect love was daily extended to them. I was able to demonstrate to them what unconditional love is all about. My love towards them did not depend upon their performance. Know today that I am your friend. I will never leave you or forsake you. Talk to Me often. I would love it if you talked to Me as often as you talk to your earthly friends. JOHN 15:15

PRESSURE OR PEACE

More than ever, you live in an age when the pressures of life have increased greatly. When you were young, there was only the telephone, television, and other forms of entertainment that distracted you from your main purpose in life which is to glorify Me in your words and deeds. Now knowledge has increased to such an extent that few take time to still their souls. People look at their hand-held instruments and seldom communicate with others face to face. It is in quietness that you will find the confidence to take the next steps in life as you walk with Me in the Spirit. It is in quietness that you will receive the strength from Me to meet the pressures of life. I long to soak your soul with My peace, but I cannot do this if you never take time to sit in My presence. Seek My peace today and pursue it instead of pursuing the many things that distract you from My presence. Take time to still your soul and you will experience a day that is unburdened with the cares of this world. ISAIAH 30:15
