SOMMER FAMILY BLESSING

Welcome to the blog for Linda Sommer.

My Blog will cover three subjects:

WORD FROM THE LORD, FAMILY, and MINISTRY.

WORD FROM THE LORD
Every day I spend time with the Lord in the morning and He speaks to my heart words that are encouraging, exhorting and sometimes rebuking.

At first, I felt not to share these words with others, but then I realized I am just one of His followers. There are many people who need a word daily from the Lord, but they do not have the time to seek Him. This is why I decided to share the words I received from time to time. The messages are in first person as the the Lord relayed them to my spirtual ears.

FAMILY
We have three sons and nine grandchildren. There is something new happening all the time in the Sommer family. I will post some of these events of interest.

MINISTRY
Tom and I have traveled the world. To find out more about our ministry you may consult our webpage -

I will keep you updated on future speaking enagements and ministry developments.

FALL

Ever since the fall of man, people have been subject to falling into sin.  The secret to not falling into sin is to not allow your own lusts to lead you into sin.  If you open the door of your mind to the lust of the eye (vain imaginations that lead to greed and covetousness) you will sin if you do not take that such thoughts captive immediately.  Do not allow the devil to build this stronghold in your mind.

It is no sin to have lusts because we were born with them after the Fall.  However, it is a sin to not take our thoughts captive to Jesus when we are tempted by seducing spirits. Seeking to satisfy our five senses in an indulgent, addictive way like overeating is another lust that we can give in to.  Again, take those tempting thoughts captive and give them to Jesus.

Thinking that we can handle things ourselves without the help of others or of God is pride.  We open the door to the lust of pride when we get into strife or are jealous of another.  Humble yourself today and ask Jesus to do battle for you whenever you are tempted.  Then the victory will be ours and the battle will be the Lord's.
