Solomon wrote, "He who refrains his lips is wise." Peter, James and John had a hard time refraining their tongues. I called James and John "The Sons of Thunder."
When the Samaritans did not receive Me when I was on the way to Jerusalem, James and John asked Me to command fire to come down from heaven to consume them.
Peter usually blurted out whatever he thought. I even had to rebuke him at one point. However, it was Peter who learned to refrain his tongue and lips. He wrote this: "For he who will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile (1 Peter 3:10)
