Whatever you run to for comfort can easily become and idol in your life. Whatever you think about all the time may also be an idol in your life. The way to pull down these idols in your life is to renew your mind. I long to transform your mind daily. You do have My mind already, but there are patterns of thinking that you have had for years that need to be pulled down and broken. Those patterns of thinking or strongholds in your mind can prevent you from a deeper relationship with Me.
I want to help you to pull down those strongholds, but you do play a part in pulling them down. My servant Paul taught what you need to do when your mind becomes entangled with vain imaginations and high thoughts that exalt themselves against Me. He said to take every thought captive and give it to Me. The moment you have a thought that you know is contrary to My Word and My life within you, give it to Me. Then I will do battle for you and help you to obey My Word.
The renewal of your mind can only happen when you daily spend time in My Word. Be proactive today and give those thoughts that are contrary to My Word immediately to Me. My Holy Spirit will renew your mind and cause you to think My thoughts as you abide in My Word. You abide in My Word when you meditate, memorize, and activate My Word by obeying My Word.

Every day I spend time with the Lord in the morning and He speaks to my heart words that are encouraging, exhorting and sometimes rebuking.
At first, I felt not to share these words with others, but then I realized I am just one of His followers. There are many people who need a word daily from the Lord, but they do not have the time to seek Him. This is why I decided to share the words I received from time to time. The messages are in first person as the the Lord relayed them to my spirtual ears.
FAMILY
We have three sons and nine grandchildren. There is something new happening all the time in the Sommer family. I will post some of these events of interest.
