There is something about the word, "final," that causes you to breathe a sigh of relief. The course you took in school concluded with the last final. You were able to toss that text book away, and prepare yourself for the next course. Athletes rejoice when they reach the final lap and cross the finish line. You even rejoice when you are able to finish your work and finally rest for a little while.
My work of redemption was done when I breathed My last breath and delivered My Spirit into the hands of My Father. The plan of redemption was finished and I even said, "It is finished." The way was paved for all who would believe in Me to have their sins removed. I became sin so that you now can be accepted as righteous before My Father.
There is coming a day when the final trumpet will sound and those who believe in Me will be raised. Mortality will be clothed in immortality. You will receive a new body fit to live in My Kingdom forever. The final curtain will fall on earth when the heavens are rolled up like a scroll. There will be a new heaven and a new earth. There will then be no final end, only eternity lived forever with Me.
