You live in an age when believers are in such a hurry to get their agenda accomplished that they forget that one of the fruits of the Spirit is gentleness. Whenever you feel hurried or pressed, know that you have submitted yourself to your flesh. Also know that if you stay in that mode of operation for a period of time, you will also open yourself to oppression by the devil. Part of the word "Opression" is the word "press." The devil pressures you to do things in haste. He wants you not to think before you speak. He hates it when you are committed to be gentle with others.
I was gentle in My dealings with most when I walked on the earth. However, I was not gentle with those who were self-righteous. I had to confront them with their selfishness and sin. I also was not gentle with the devil.
There is no excuse for you to be harsh with others. I desire for you to be gentle in the way you speak and the way you act. The fruit of gentleness is developed as you learn meekness and lowliness of heart. Come to Me daily and learn meekness and lowliness of heart. When you do this, you will have My shield of greatness around you. David wrote: "You have also given me the shield of Your salvation: Your right hand has held me up. Your gentleness has made me great (Psalm 18:35).

Every day I spend time with the Lord in the morning and He speaks to my heart words that are encouraging, exhorting and sometimes rebuking.
At first, I felt not to share these words with others, but then I realized I am just one of His followers. There are many people who need a word daily from the Lord, but they do not have the time to seek Him. This is why I decided to share the words I received from time to time. The messages are in first person as the the Lord relayed them to my spirtual ears.
FAMILY
We have three sons and nine grandchildren. There is something new happening all the time in the Sommer family. I will post some of these events of interest.
