Life on this earth is temporary. I live in a realm where there is no space and no time. People on earth are bound by time, and sometimes they think that when they go through trials that their sufferings, and afflictions will last forever when they are going through them.
My friend Paul had an understanding of how temporary life is when he wrote:
So then death works in us, but life in you. We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak: knowing that He Who raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you. For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God. For this cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. For our light affliction that is but for a moment, works for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory: while we look not at the things that are seen, but at the things that are not seen, for the things that are seen are temporal (temporary): but the things that are not seen are eternal.
