Paul prayed that the eyes of the understanding of believers in Me would be opened. It is My Holy Spirit within you Who will give you the understanding you need as you read My Word.
Once you are born again, My Holy Spirit lives within you and He is the Spirit of truth Who can lead and guide you into all the truths found in My Word.
Understanding is the bridge between knowledge and wisdom. Wisdom is applied knowledge. My Spirit can give you wisdom and understanding, might and counsel, and knowledge and the fear of the LORD.
