Very few people start a journey without knowing what their final destination will be. However, I chose Abraham to establish the Jewish nation because of two aspects of his character that I observed. He was faithful to his family and he was a man of faith. He was willing to obey Me in almost every situation even though he had no idea of the destination of his journey or what the outcome would be if he carefully obeyed My instructions.
You need the faith of Abraham as you journey through your life. The good news is that you have the faith of Abraham. When you received Me as your Lord and Savior, I and the Father came to indwell you by My Holy Spirit. You now have My faith residing in you. Whenever you seem to lack faith, remember to tap into My faith by thanking and praising Me for the gift of faith that resides in you. All you need to do to activate My faith within you is to speak My Word and obey My Word.
The good news also is that unlike Abraham, you do know with assurance what your destination will be. You are destined to be conformed to My image by the power of My Spirit, and you know that one day you will see Me face to face and live with Me eternally in the new heaven and the new earth.
These are sure facts that you can believe today, so rejoice along your journey in life.

Every day I spend time with the Lord in the morning and He speaks to my heart words that are encouraging, exhorting and sometimes rebuking.
At first, I felt not to share these words with others, but then I realized I am just one of His followers. There are many people who need a word daily from the Lord, but they do not have the time to seek Him. This is why I decided to share the words I received from time to time. The messages are in first person as the the Lord relayed them to my spirtual ears.
FAMILY
We have three sons and nine grandchildren. There is something new happening all the time in the Sommer family. I will post some of these events of interest.
