I have heard you exclaim, "Well, I'm glad that finally got settled." There are so many decisions to make in this life, and when you reach a point of agreement on what should be done, you sigh with relief because at last you can move ahead and take action.
I want you to live a settled life. I want you to come to Me with the major decisions in your life. When you do this, I can give you a heart that is settled and at peace. Whenever you are trying to make decisions without consulting Me and asking Me for My wisdom, you will become anxious and unsettled.
Settle it in your heart today that I am in control of your life. Sometimes you want to push ahead without asking My help, and when you do this, the results will not be good. Look to Me today for direction and discernment. I am the Alpha and the Omega of your life, and I will help you accomplish My will moment by moment throughout this day and every day.

CONTROL
The fleshly nature of man usually wants to be in control of people and situations. Several of My disciples wanted to be in control of Me. Peter was the main one.
When I warned Peter that he would deny me three times, I told him that I would pray that his faith would not fail. I also said to him, "When you are converted, strengthen your brethren." Peter was converted from pride (his own self interests) when he denied me three times. He finally realized that he was not in control.
When you recognize that I am in control of your life, you will be able to release every burden to Me. It is only when you think that you can fix things yourself, that you make the problems you are having even worse than they are. I know the beginning and the end of your life. Trust Me with every care, and daily surrender to My plans for you.

NURTURING
I am a family God. Even before Adam and Eve were created, I existed in a family situation. The relationships between Me, My Father, and the Holy Spirit can be compared in a way to a family.
I am My Father's son, but I am also your big brother. The Holy Spirit was given to you to nurture you like a mother.
Mothers teach, exhort, comfort, and feed their children. These are also all the responsibilities of the Holy Spirit. He teaches you My Word. He exhorts you to keep abiding in Me, abiding in My Word, and abiding in My love. He is the comforter. He loves to feed you My Word so that you will be strengthened to live a fruitful life.
Relationships in families are meant to be an example of this "Holy Family." I glorified My Father by being an obedient son. The Holy Spirit was sent as the "Helper." I created Eve to be Adam's helpmate. The Holy Spirit was also sent to glorify Me (make My presence known on Earth after I was resurrected). Family relationships will be harmonious when individuals in the family do not seek their own. Instead, they seek to give glory to My Father first and then to esteem each person in the family higher than themselves.

REASONING
I always knew the reasoning in the minds of the people who I conversed with while I walked on Earth. You do not have that capability unless you are dependent upon My Holy Spirit to reveal this to you. My Holy Spirit can give you a word of knowledge that will impact those who you converse with daily.
Few believers depend upon My Holy Spirit enough to help them know what and when to speak. I suggest that you pray quietly in the Spirit while others are speaking to you. You will be amazed at what will proceed out of your mouth as you respond to what the other person has just said.
People often do not say what is on their hearts. They reason in their minds what would please others and then they say what they think others would like to hear. I am interested in the hearts of people. My Father humbled Himself to see into the hearts of people. When I came to Earth I depended on the Holy Spirit to reveal the hearts of people. I set a pattern for you to follow.
Follow My pattern and you will be able to give wise counsel to many.

JUDGEMENTS
When you see the sin in others, it is so easy for you to make judgments about them. I exhorted those gathered to hear My teaching by the Sea of Galilee not to judge others. I warned them that they would receive the same measure of judgment that they measured against others.
When you see other people living in sin, there is only one thing that I want you to do. I want you to pray for them. If the person who is living in sin is a brother or sister in the Lord, my servant John gave clear instructions about what to do. He wrote:
"If any man see his brother sin a sin that is not unto death, he should ask, and He shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it. (John 5:16)."
Instead of making a judgment of a person, pray for that person. When you do this, you will be blessed, and you will not place a curse upon yourself because you judged another.

LIVING
I am the Word of God made flesh. I am the living Word. The written Word that you read daily is quick (living), powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
It is My Holy Spirit Who is the instructor as you open the textbook of My Word. Rely on Him to give you understanding and wisdom, counsel and strength, and knowledge as you read day by day. It is My Holy Spirit Who makes My Word come alive to you and Who also enables you to apply My Word to your day to day life.
Just as you cannot live without food, you cannot neglect the food of My Word. I am the bread of Life and My Word is also bread that nourishes you spiritually. Spend time in My Word today and allow My Spirit to speak to your heart and even change your heart as you read.

STRONGHOLDS
The battle that you experience daily is in your mind. I have provided every weapon that you need to overcome the thoughts that My enemy sends you. You do have My mind. However, to tap into My mind instead of listening and receiving the thoughts that My enemy sends, you must pull down the strongholds that he has placed in your mind.
Strongholds are habitual patterns of thinking that cause you to react instead of respond in your relationships with others. Strongholds or fortresses in your mind where Satan hides also will weaken your attempts to resist temptation. Some people teach behavioral modification to get rid of old habit patterns. This does not work. Instead, the only way to break persistent negative and worldly ways of thinking and acting is to renew your mind through reading and obeying My Word.
I stand ready to help you in this battle. In fact, you cannot win this battle without the help of My Holy Spirit. Make it your goal every day to take captive negative and vain thoughts that exalt themselves against the knowledge of My Father and His Word. Then give such thoughts to Me. If you are consistent to instantly reject ungodly, worldly and fleshly thoughts by giving those thoughts to Me, the battle in your mind will be won. Remember that the battle is Mine and the victory is yours.
